Literally "yogic sleep," yoga nidra is a centuries-old modality designed for relaxation and healing of the mind, body, energy, and emotions. It's been called "meditation for people who can't meditate." It is a meditation, a nap, hypnosis, and pure magic all wrapped up in one easy process.
No, it's not yoga, and there are no awkward physical poses here! You simply lie down on a mat, couch, or even your bed, and you are gently led through easy, natural relaxation processes to unwind stress and tension at all levels of your being. Reset your nervous system and feel powerfully rested. Connect internally with your own sources of insight and wisdom.
The most relaxing process I've ever found, and cumulative effects of multiple sessions help your body learn how to rest and sleep better long term. Changing feelings and habits, and creating possibilities, is a process. By deciding to work together, you acknowledge that you want to make significant progress and change in your life, and you are committing yourself to the process, including using easy tools outside the session.
As with any relationship, we share responsibility for its success. My responsibility is in offering a safe space, being present for you with respect, stopping you when I see you sliding into old patterns, providing skillful feedback, and sharing powerful healing modalities. Your responsibility is to be present with openness and honesty, and to commit to taking action (including completion of any assignments outside the sessions).
The primary objectives are self-improvement and personal growth. You are actively involved in the process and ultimately responsible for the number of sessions and the changes you wish to make. I do not guarantee or promise any specific outcomes. I also do not diagnose. My services are not intended to replace medical or psychological therapies and services, but may be used in conjunction with them.
All are welcome. I accept you where you are and however you identify yourself. We all “edit” ourselves to a certain extent when talking to friends or family. I aim to create a very safe, non-judgmental space, and I encourage you to speak as truthfully and openly as you are able.
